Emergency Town Hall to Discuss Muslim Ban

Slated for Friday, June 29 at Unitarian Church

 

ALBANY—An emergency community forum to discuss the implications of the Supreme Court’s recent Muslim Ban decision will be held Friday, June 29 at 6 p.m. at the First Unitarian Universalist Society, 405 Washington Avenue.

 

The Capital Region Chapter of the New York Civil Liberties Union (NYCLU) is co-sponsoring the event and NYCLU attorney Justin Harrison will speak on constitutional issues surrounding the ban and the SCOTUS decision.

 

Other sponsors include Capital District Coalition Against Islamophobia, The Hampton Institute, Palestinian Youth Movement and Queer Palestinian Empowerment Network.
